Well, we did it. After years of working away as Nurse J Aesthetics, we finally threw open the doors and celebrated the official launch of House of Glo - and honestly? It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
I'd never done a launch event before (I know, I know!), so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But from the moment people started arriving, the energy in the room was just right. Warm, buzzing, and full of the kind of genuine connection that reminds you why you do what you do.
We kicked things off with welcome drinks and nibbles, and Abode was the perfect backdrop for the day. The space looked absolutely beautiful, and watching it fill up with familiar faces and new ones was such a lovely moment.
It truly felt like a community gathering rather than just a clinic event. Patients brought friends, local business owners came to support, and people who were simply curious about what House of Glo is all about turned up to see what we're building here.
The mix of people in the room made my heart so full - because that's exactly what House of Glo is meant to be. A space for everyone.
One thing that mattered to me was making sure the day celebrated our local community, because small businesses really are the heartbeat of everything we do.
We had the most delicious food from Bohee Cafe, gorgeous cupcakes and cookies from Foodie Pie, stunning flowers from Didibox, beautiful balloons from Magic Balloons, and thoughtful self-care books from Keep it Bright. Every single detail came together thanks to the talent and care of local businesses, and I couldn't be more grateful.
At our launch event, it was an absolute delight to share some of the treatments I’m most passionate about with you all. Seeing the engagement and excitement in the room as we ran live demonstrations was truly rewarding. We chose to focus on three specific treatments, and I wanted to take a moment to explain in more detail why they represent the core of our philosophy at House of Glo.

After everyone settled in with drinks, I gave a little talk about what House of Glo means to me and where we're headed.
I shared the story of why I started this journey in the first place - the dream of creating a space where people feel genuinely listened to, where treatments are personalised and thoughtful, and where confidence comes from looking like yourself, just refreshed. And I loved chatting with VAULT, because I believe that true confidence and wellbeing comes from looking after your whole self - mind, body and skin.
We also talked about the exciting plans for 2025 and beyond: our journey toward CQC registration in 2026, the vision for a purpose-built clinic space, and collaborations like our partnership with One Planet Aesthetics.
